Choral Ensembles
END OF TERM 1: It’s been a busy fall! The term ends on Thursday, November 10. Students should be checking Google Classroom and PowerSchool to make sure all assignments are up to date. Term 1 grades will be published in PowerSchool on Friday, November 18.
CONCERT ATTIRE: Now is a great time to start thinking about concert attire! For Chamber Singers, Chorale, and Treble Choir, concert attire is a black dress shirt, black dress pants OR ankle length skirt, black dress shoes, black socks. The following are NOT allowed on stage: t-shirts, polo shirts, black jeans, sneakers, white socks, and bare legs. Chamber Singers and Treble Choir will wear concert attire for their performance at the Veteran’s Day Ceremony. Chorale will wear their concert attire at our Winter Concert.
A Cappella Groups
Both Voices of Steel and Mic Drop are gearing up for the first ever A Cappella Fall Fest, this Thursday, November 3, 7 PM, at the GMS Auditorium. Tickets are $10 at the door, and groups from North Reading (our co-hosts!), Belmont, Marblehead, Saugus, and Weston will be joining us! It’s going to be a great night of music! Looking forward to competition season, Voices of Steel recorded and submitted their application video for the Varsity Vocals International Championship of High School A Cappella. Results will be posted in mid-November. Currently, they are working on competition set music and music for December gigs. Students sing holiday and pop songs around the community; they’ll be singing at the Tree Lighting on the Common and at Albion Cultural Exchange on December 22, just to name a few! Exciting Notes
Along with alumni singers dating back to the Class of 2010, both Chamber Singers and Treble Choir were thrilled to support the Warrior Marching Band by performing the National Anthem at the MICCA Marching Band Show.

Hi, my name is Charlotte Hill and I am a senior in Wakefield’s Voices of Steel, Marching Band, Treble Choir, and Theater Arts. This October we have been preparing for BOA, A Cappella competitions, Clue, and our concerts. We have been preparing some fun songs in Voices of Steel that we will perform on November 3rd at the A Cappella Fall Fest! We finished up our Marching Band season in New Jersey by performing at B.O.A. We were all so excited for this opportunity, but sad to see the end of the family and community we have. This fall has been so fun and the music department has been working super hard. Come on out to see our concerts and performances this fall and stay tuned for more!
